Respondus LockDown Browser uses a standard Windows or Mac installer that can be downloaded by faculty or students from the following link. You may be required to use LockDown Browser with a webcam, which will record you during an online, non-proctored exam. I think we should get rid of lockdown browsers altogether because they are inconvenient for the students and it causes unnecessary stress for all the students. Err on the side of caution and take your test on a desktop or laptop, preferably with a wired connection. There is a mobile app, but your instructor must configure the test to allow its use. REMEMBER: Once a test has been started with Respondus LockDown Browser, you cannot exit until the Submit button is clicked.
